April to October: Gates open at 9.30am, last admission just before 5.00pm, Zoo closes at 6.00pm
November to March: Gates open at 9.30am, last admission just before 4.00pm, Zoo closes at 5.00pm
Closed Christmas Day
In the event of bad weather, snow, ice or strong winds please telephone 01492 532938 and key 3 to speak to the Zoo Operator. If the office is unattended the Zoo is closed.
Welsh Mountain Zoo Free Minibus Service 2012
The free Zoo Mini Bus service from Colwyn Bay railway station will commence at Easter and from late May to mid September. The first trip from the station will start at 10:00am and will then run on a continuous loop throughout the day. You should not have to wait longer than 20 minutes for the minibus to arrive for collection. The last trip down from the Zoo will be just before 4:45pm.
If you are organising a group wishing to use the minibus service please contact the Zoo Office first: 01492 532938 key 3 when the call attendant service begins.

Adult (16+ years) – £9.95
Children (3-15 years inclusive) – £7.50
Family Ticket (2 adults and 2 children) – £31.40
Seniors – £8.80
Students (NUS Card) – £7.50
Under 3 – FREE
Admission is free for visitors who are wheelchair users. Carers pay normal prices.
ZSWA Rates (This allows you unlimited visits to the Zoo for 12 months)
Adult (16+ years) – £31.50
Children and Students – £23.00
Senior – £23.00
Family Adult – £28.50
Family Child – £21.00
Family Senior – £21.00
Group Entry
Adult (16+ years unless a student) – £8.20
Children (3-15 years inclusive) – £5.90

Please read the notes below before completing the booking forms:
- Groups visiting the zoo should book in advance to receive entry price discounts.
- Parties must be paid for ‘en bloc’ otherwise group discounts do not apply.
- Please book any learning sessions and times before making a Group Entry Booking.
- Approximate numbers are acceptable for booking purposes. Any cash adjustment must be made after arrival.
- Party rates are applicable to groups of 15 and over.
- One free teacher/courier allowed with each ten full paying children/students.
- Coach drivers: no charge
- Price Note: Additional discounts available for group visits October- March inclusive.
