 Latest Arrivals Its only May 2008 and we have already had many exciting new Zoo births. One of our most famous residents at the moment include 2 month old Slammy, the Bactrian Camel.

Scooby was born in April 2008 and weighed only 4kg. Scooby is now a resident at the Children's Farm here at the Welsh Mountain Zoo. In March 2007 there were 3 Humboldt Penguin births. These young penguins now take part in our daily Penguin Parades and love to waddle amongst the other penguins.

 In April 07 our interactive flying dispalys were improved with the arrival or Chico the Macaw and Johnny Rook the Caracara. Our two new friends love entertaining the visitors and love to show off with their flying and hunting skills. May 07 saw the arrival of 4 baby Polecats. These amazing animals can be found in their enclosures, but you will have to look long and hard to see them all. |

 June 07 saw 3 Great Grey Owl births. Graffite, Slate and Glacier are doing well and love to play with each other. July 07 was a great month for our resident European Brown Bear, Yoghi as she was joined by 3 year old sisters Athina and Fivi from Greece. Our 3 Bears get on extreemly well together and love playing under the water fall in their new enclousure 'Bear Falls!' |
