 Zoo Club
Zoo Club provides the opportunity for children who are members at the Zoo to meet and join in fun and educational activities. Run from our Education Centre on the Zoo premises, the zoo club meets at various times during the year. Recent activities have included hedgehog care and study of native British birds.
Young Zoologist Days 2010
The Young Zoologist Days will be running over the summer holidays and are designed for unaccompanied children aged 8-12. Using the animals in the Zoo and the Education Centre we will be finding out about a different topic every day. There will be 8 Young Zoologist Days altogether, running every Tuesday and Thursday from 27th July to 19th August. This year's theme will be 'Habitats' and topics will include 'Who's who at the Zoo', 'Rainforest Day', 'Desert Day', 'Grassland Day', 'Mountain Day', 'Ocean Day', 'British Wildlife Day' and 'Biodiversity Day'.
The days aim to be educational and fun. There will be time for children to visit the Adventure Playground and the shop. Bookings will be taken from June 2010 onwards. For more information and a booking form, please contact the Education Department on 01492 532938 ext 5 or email education@welshmountainzoo.org
