 VOLUNTEER SCHEME
Want to do something GRRREAT?
Volunteers provide visitors with a unique and personal Zoo experience. Every year hundreds of volunteers donate thousands of hours to fulfill our objectives of:
*Education
*Conservation
*Recreation
Volunteers can help in a number of ways, either planning special events, education, office duties or caring for our animals. We have a wide range of opportunities to suit your schedule and interests. To find out more email education@welshmountainzoo.org.
Vicki Venton began volunteering at the Welsh Mountain Zoo in 2005. Vicki was studying Marine Biology and Zoology at Bangor University and found that volunteering at the Zoo was a refreshing break from coursework and exams.
As Vicki’s degree came to an end a job opened up at the Zoo as an Animal Presenter and Trainer. Today, Vicki can be seen training our family of Californian sealions.
