The smallest member of the Otter family, the Asian Small Clawed Otter has tiny claws which provide keen dexterity when handling prey. A continued threat to the Asian Small Clawed Otter is the ongoing destruction of its habitats across Asia including deforestation as well as the introduction of pesticides into the water.
