Pitter Patter of Tiny Paws

The Welsh Mountain Zoo – National Zoo of Wales has announced the arrival of five new, super delightful meerkat babies.

Mother, Bonnie, has given birth to a quintet of babies, all of whom are doing well and already finding their feet in their new home.

Upon arrival, each of the tiny pups are small enough to fit neatly it the palm of a human hand but are already growing rapidly, gaining in size and confidence.

Peter Litherland, Animal Collections Manager at the Welsh Mountain Zoo commented: “All of our babies are super cute and none more so than our meerkats. They are 6 weeks old now and have already developed that inquisitive and cheeky nature that defines their character. I’d encourage lovers of meerkats to come and take a look whilst they are at this infant stage.”
