Statement from the Welsh Mountain Zoo on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
A true inspiration, The Queen was a remarkable figure and we want to pay our profound and utmost respects at this sad time.
Her Majesty will be remembered fondly as an animal lover and a fantastic advocate for the work of zoos and aquariums to save species and create a better world.
She will be sorely missed by so many around the world.
We send our most heartfelt condolences to The Royal Family at this difficult time.
The zoo will remain open today (Friday 9 September) but will close on the date of the State Funeral.
