We are keen to work with researchers and scientists by supporting access to our collections, so that the Zoo can play its part in widening man’s knowledge of the natural world.

In line with government guidance on COVID-19, we’ve made some changes to our Zoo operations. For the latest updates on safety measures in place please click here.

University and FE students are able to make use of the facilities at the Zoo in order to carry out Honours Projects, and research for higher degrees. The Welsh Mountain Zoo also offers regular assistance to research projects in other parts of the world.

Please be aware that all research projects are subject to approval. It is advised that ample time is given for the application process.
