CONSERVATION EDUCATION COMES TO LIFE
- 12th May 2022

Our much loved animal presentations have returned for 2022, alongside brand new talks to enjoy!
Our daily presentations are now fully up and running and include the free-flying bird display, the penguin parade and the California sea lion feeding and training.
Amy Ridgway, Animal Keeper and part of the Zoo Presentations Team commented: “It's wonderful to be able to reinstate all of our much loved animal presentations. We understand that these events form an important part of many visitors days out and it's great to host them once again.
Two NEW animal talks are now also live each day, at 11.30am and at 2.30pm. They focus on different species each day, covering various animal residents from the Eurasian Brown Bears, to New World Monkeys and birds in the African Aviary.
“Alongside our long standing presentations, we are now introducing animal talks twice daily that give a real insight and understanding into the behaviour and habitats of many of our animals. We are using these new animal talks to highlight the variety of species that we have here at the Zoo and the threats they face in the Wild. We hope that visitors will enjoy these different talks held throughout the week and will learn about our breeding programmes, conservation projects, as well as some interesting and fun facts.”
All presentations will be held at the respective animal enclosure and details of the day’s talks will be displayed on boards outside the Zoovenir Gift Shop and pedestrian entrance.
All presentations are free of charge and are included in Zoo admission.
