ZOO ANIMALS CELEBRATE KING CHARLES

Our animals are throwing themselves into the spirit of the coronation, marking the new Monarch in their own special way!
A mob of meerkats enjoyed their own outdoor party with cups filled with their favourite treat, mealworms, whilst other animals including the otters, macaws and barn owls also joined in with the fun, enjoying their favourite foods to celebrate the coronation.
Charlotte Dykes, Marketing Officer at the Welsh Mountain Zoo commented:
“The coronation is a huge day for us all across the UK and we wanted our animals to bring their own unique sense of celebration to the occasion.
The zoo will be open as normal throughout the coronation weekend and bank holiday Monday (9:30am-6pm).
