In the spirit of 62 years, the first 62 groups through the gates each day will receive a special free* Zoo goodie bag — a fun surprise packed with little gifts as a token of our appreciation of your ongoing support.

To celebrate the Welsh Mountain Zoo’s Birthday Weekend, the first 62 groups to enter the Zoo each day on Saturday 17th May and Sunday 18th May will receive one free goodie bag per group, while supplies last.
Eligibility and Redemption:
- Goodie bags will be distributed to the first 62 groups entering the Welsh Mountain Zoo on each event day.
- A “group” is defined as a party arriving together and purchasing admission in a single transaction.
- Only one goodie bag will be issued per group, regardless of group size.
- Distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis, starting from the Zoo’s opening time each day.
- Goodie bags must be collected at the designated distribution point within the Zoo on the day of entry.
Conditions:
- Offer valid only on Saturday 17th May and Sunday 18th May.
- No reservations or early claims permitted.
- Goodie bags are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item.
- Contents of goodie bags may vary and are subject to availability.
- The Welsh Mountain Zoo reserves the right to substitute items if necessary.

The Welsh Mountain Zoo reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or withdraw the promotion at any time without prior notice. Entry to the Zoo is subject to standard visitor terms and conditions.
🧁 Free** Birthday Cake for Every Guest
To mark the occasion, every guest visiting us on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May will receive a token on admission for a free** birthday cake from the Safari Restaurant. It’s our way of saying thank you for being part of our Zoo family!
**Terms and Conditions – Free Birthday Treat Token
The token provided on admission will entitle the bearer to one free birthday cake from the Welsh Mountain Zoo, redeemable during the Zoo’s Birthday Weekend Event on Saturday 17th May and Sunday 18th May only, subject to availability.
How to Redeem:
Present the token provided on admission to the Safari Restaurant during the Welsh Mountain Zoo’s birthday weekend.
This token is valid only on the day of admission (Saturday 17th May / Sunday 18th May) and cannot be used on any other day. It cannot be redeemed for cash, used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion, or exchanged for any alternative item.
Limitations:
- One token per person per day.
- The birthday cake is subject to availability and may vary.
- The token is non-transferable and has no cash value.
- Lost or stolen tokens will not be replaced.
- The Welsh Mountain Zoo reserves the right to refuse any token that appears tampered with or altered.

📸 ‘Through the Years’ Photo Display – Get Involved!
As part of our birthday festivities, we’re creating a ‘Through the Years’ photo display in our Information Gazebo and on our website, celebrating memories made at the Zoo across generations and we’d love for you to be a part of it!
Send us your favourite photos from past visits — whether it’s a snapshot from the ‘70s or a memory from last summer. Please include:
- First names of anyone featured in the photo
- The year the photo was taken
📧 Email your photos to marketing@welshmountainzoo.org by midday Thursday 15th May 2025 for the chance to have your photo featured.
By submitting your photo to the email address listed above, you grant the Welsh Mountain Zoo permission to use your image in our ‘Through the Years’ display, and in Zoo marketing and social media materials.
