New Animal Experiences!
Get Closer to the Animals This Summer by booking an experience!
Launching 17th July, our brand-new animal experiences offer a unique opportunity to learn more about some of the zoo’s most fascinating residents alongside the people who care for them every day.
Led by our experienced animal keepers, these incredible experiences are designed to educate, inspire, and provide a memorable connection to the world of conservation. With a maximum of just two participants per experience, you’ll enjoy a personal and engaging encounter while learning about conservation, animal welfare, and individual species behaviours.
Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended!

Experience Details

- Time: 12:30pm
- Maximum Participants: 2
- Availability: All year round
- Minimum Age: 13+
Important Information
During the summer months, penguins undergo an important process known as moulting, where they replace all of their feathers. During this period they may appear scruffy and will remain on land while their new waterproof feathers develop. Although they may look a little different, this is a completely natural and essential part of their lifecycle.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we kindly request that participants are comfortable exploring our mountainous terrain, follow instructions, and respect all members of the group. If you have any concerns about suitability or needs, please feel free to contact us before booking — we’re happy to discuss support options!
