WMZ Wildlife Heroes is a fundraising challenge inspired by the amazing animals and conservation work of the Welsh Mountain Zoo. Designed for children of primary school age, the challenge can be completed by families, schools, community groups and youth organisations.

As the National Zoo of Wales and a conservation charity, we rely on the support of our visitors, members and local communities to help care for our animals, fund ongoing habitat developments, deliver education programmes and protect wildlife for future generations.

Wildlife Heroes complete a series of fun missions inspired by some of the zoo’s most iconic animals. From building habitats for local wildlife to exploring nature outdoors, each mission encourages children to learn more about the natural world while raising sponsorship to support the zoo.

Whether you’re taking part as a family, a school class or a community group, every Wildlife Hero is helping inspire the next generation of wildlife champions.
