Cotton Top Tamarins
(Saguinus oedipus)

Amongst the smallest of the primate family and with an average body length of around 20 – 25cm, the Cotton Top Tamarin is considered to be a critically endangered species with only an estimated 2000 living in the wild. Originating from the forests of South America, this fascinating little creature exhibits a white shoal of hair running from its head, across its back.
