Other Mammals

Our warm-blooded mammals come in all shapes and sizes!

There are many different mammal species on Earth, most living on dry land, but some, such as California Sea Lions live and thrive in water! Most mammals nourish their offspring with milk, possess hair or fur, give birth to live young, and like humans, need some level of parental care to survive.

Our diverse mammal habitats mirror the landscapes in which our animals roam, such as the hilly plains of the Eurasian Brown Bear to the dense forests of the European Pine Marten. From the small Azara’s Agouti to the towering Bactrian Camel, from the cutest Red Panda to the mischievous Meerkats, they all are part of our Zoo family here at the Welsh Mountain Zoo.
