Przewalski’s Horse
(Equus ferus przewalski)

By 1966, the Przewalski’s Horse was completely extinct in the wild, but have since been successfully reintroduced into the wild amongst the reserves and national parks of Mongolia following a successful captive breeding programme. The IUCN has since reclassified its conservation status from ‘extinct in the wild’ to ‘endangered’.
