Adopt a Cotton Top Tamarins

Whether you adopt an animal for yourself or as a gift, you’ll be directly supporting the care of our incredible wildlife and vital conservation efforts at the Welsh Mountain Zoo.

How your adoption will help…

With your support, we believe our conservation research can help sustain endangered species and encourage others to join us in preserving the planet’s incredible biodiversity.

Threat Level: Critically Endangered

The tiny Cotton-Top Tamarin is easy to spot with its fluffy white hair! Native to Colombia’s forests, fewer than 2,000 remain in the wild. They live in family groups and eat fruit, flowers, insects, and small animals.

Sadly, habitat loss and illegal trade threaten their future. These clever monkeys never drink from the ground—they sip water from fruit and leaves instead! Protecting their forests is the key to saving them.
