Incredible Primates

Monkeys and apes are part of the primate family and just like us, they are smart, social and full of personality.

Some primates live in trees (arboreal) while others stay on the ground (terrestrial). With big brains, strong limbs and long fingers and toes, they’re amazing climbers and problem-solvers.

Here at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, we’re lucky to share our space with amazing primates like Chimpanzees, Spider Monkeys, Lar Gibbons, Ring-Tailed Lemurs, Cotton-Top Tamarins and Goeldi’s monkeys. They love to interact with each other, just like we do!
