Magnificent Cats

Powerful, elusive, and breathtakingly beautiful, our Magnificent Cats include some of the world’s most extraordinary species of feline!

At the Welsh Mountain Zoo, we care for magnificent cats like Sumatran Tigers, Snow Leopards and Margays. Snow Leopards are classified as vulnerable by the IUCN Red List, so we’re especially proud to have successfully bred both Snow Leopards and Margays in recent years!

Here at the Zoo our cats habitats are designed to feel just like the wild landscapes of Asia, South America and the Himalayas. These special spaces let them roam, climb and prowl—just like they would in nature—so you can see them up close in a place that feels like home.
